SCRIBE is a research group that develops a software tool for searching digitized music manuscripts by scribal similarity. This means that users will be able to search for manuscripts that look similar to a particular manuscript or that users can search for all manuscripts that contain a certain type of handwriting characteristics.

SCRIBE will make music collections of libraries more accessible to scholarship and research. SCRIBE will enhance the functionality of your web opac and improve the services for your patrons.

The interdisciplinary research project is open for computer scientists, librarians, and musicologists.
